McCain clinches nomination
Sen. John McCain won the Virginia primary in February and clinched the GOP Presidential nomination in early March. Thanks to the 670 Falls Church Republicans who voted in the primary!
City election 2008
Falls Church voters went to the polls on May 6, and elected these City officials:
- City Council: Nader Baroukh, Robin Gardner (re-elected), Lawrence Webb
- School Board: Charlotte Hyland, Kieran Sharpe (re-elected), Joan Wodiska (re-elected).

Krive elected to head City Republicans
Falls Church Republicans met on Feb. 9 and elected Jonathan Krive as the new City GOP Chairman. He succeeds Shayam Menon, who will remain active with the local party. The Republican meeting also elected delegates to the 8th District and State GOP conventions.
Senate race in 2008
Republican U.S. Sen. John Warner is retiring, after serving Virginia for nearly 30 years in the Senate. Former Gov. Jim Gilmore and Del. Bob Marshall have announced for the seat. The GOP nominee will be selected by the Republican State Convention in May 2008, and will face off against tax-hiking Democrat former Gov. Mark Warner.
Memorial Day salute
Republicans joined in the annual Falls Church Memorial Day Festival and Parades in 2006 and 2007. Thanks to all who stopped by our booth, and who marched with us! See photos.

The Falls Church City Republican Committee salutes Ralph McGehee, former City GOP Chairman (2002-05), for his years of dedicated service to the party and the Falls Church community. Ralph was also honored at the 8th District Republican Convention in May 2006, for his service as Vice Chairman of the District GOP Committee (2004-06).
We extend our best wishes to Ralph and his family in their new home in Charleston, SC.
